Join Our Team
We are always interested in meeting talented therapists
Please contact us if you are excited about sex therapy and relationship therapy. We are particularly interested in clinicians with training in trauma modalities (EMDR, ART, IFS, somatic experiencing, etc.) and/or couples therapy modalities (Gottman, Imago, EFT, IFIO, differentiation, etc.).
We are also looking for a prescriber to join our team, to provide basic medication management to clients experiencing common sexual side effects from SSRI’s and other medications. Reach out for a conversation if you are interested.
You’ll be a good fit for our team if you:
Get excited about relationship therapy and/or sex therapy, with individuals and/or couples,
Are personally committed to offering psychotherapy that is inclusive and affirming of all types of sexualities and identities, including LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities, as well as poly, kink, and BDSM communities,
Have some experience or demonstrated interest in working with at least one aspect of sex therapy, such as couples therapy, low desire, sexual exploration, infertility, identity issues, trauma, sexual functioning (vaginal pain, erection difficulties), infidelity, opening relationships, kink, etc.,
Feel very comfortable talking about sexuality with clients and peers,
Are lifelong therapy learners who enjoy case consultation, supervision, and ongoing professional development, and
Hold a masters degree or higher with an active license (or is license eligible) in DC, VA or both (pre-licensed, post-docs, LGPC’s, LGSW’s considered in some cases).
All therapists with a genuine interest in learning about sex and relationship therapy are encouraged to apply. We will provide supervision, mentorship and a learning environment for you to grow.
We strongly prefer clinicians who have 5-10 years of work experience (in this field or another one). Career changers are welcome and all previous work experience is considered, including experience in other fields before graduate school.
We strive to be a fantastic place to work for therapists. We believe that therapists can do their best work when they are properly supported. All clinicians receive free supervision, an excellent work environment, flexible case loads, and many other benefits.
We prefer to hire full time clinicians as W2 employees with a generous benefits package including:
competitive fee split,
parent friendly environment with flexible work hours and low caseload minimums,
free individual supervision and group supervision that count for Board requirements and AASECT certification,
hybrid work schedule (most therapists come into the office one day per week),
low minimum caseload of 15 to qualifty for full time status,
4-5 weeks paid time off that begins accruing on the first day,
short term disability insurance that provides benefits for accident, illness or childbirth,
long term disability insurance,
all benefits that come with W2 status, such as unemployment insurance, employer paid FICA taxes, and DC Paid Family Leave (for DC residents),
zero hassles with insurance billing as we are completely out of network,
and an annual stipend for professional development.
Note that we cannot offer employer paid health insurance benefits at this time, due to costs. Employees may choose to purchase health insurance on their state’s health insurance exchange.
All new hires are required to work at least four clinical hours per week in the evenings (5pm or later) or weekends; employees may choose the days and times to fulfill this requirement, either virtually or in the office.
