Psychotherapist Associate
I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker based in Washington, D.C., specializing in couples therapy and intimacy work. I am passionate about helping individuals and partners navigate relationship challenges, heal from trauma, and build deeper, more fulfilling connections. I approach therapy collaboratively, viewing you as the expert in your own life while working alongside you as a partner in your healing journey.
My clinical background includes experience in inpatient psychiatric care, where I supported individuals in acute mental health crises and those managing chronic illness. This experience allows me to bring a grounded presence to therapy, even when conversations feel overwhelming or emotionally charged. I integrate culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care to ensure therapy feels responsive to your lived experiences.
I offer inclusive, affirming care for all relationship structures and identities, including nonmonogamous relationships, kink-informed dynamics, and LGBTQIA+ partnerships. I also enjoy supporting parents who are navigating the challenges of maintaining intimacy, connection, and desire while raising a family. Whether you’re seeking to repair trust, improve communication, reconnect emotionally or sexually, or simply better understand one another, I am here to help.
My work with couples is grounded in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach that focuses on strengthening friendship, managing conflict effectively, and creating shared meaning. In addition to couples work, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma (including intergenerational, racial, and sexual trauma), grief, stress, PTSD, and the emotional impact of chronic illness.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from attachment theory, emotion-focused interventions, polyvagal theory, mindfulness-based sex and intimacy therapy, and discernment counseling. I also bring a unique systems-level perspective from my background in public administration and international development, allowing me to understand how social, cultural, and structural factors shape our mental health and relationships, particularly for clients living and working in the D.C. metro area.
Outside of the therapy room, I live in Washington, D.C., I enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons, a practice that has strengthened my collaborative problem-solving skills and deepened my appreciation for the power of role-play and its potential to enrich the therapeutic process. I am also a runner and swimmer, and I value the strong connection between physical and mental well-being.
If you’re ready to strengthen your bond, rediscover passion, or build the relationship you’ve always wanted, I would be honored to support you.
